Mag. Serafettin Yildiz ist Poet und Schriftsteller, der sich der Lyrik und Prosa verschrieben hat. Der studierte Volkwirt hält Vorträge auf Tagungen, Symposien, Semiaren sowie Schreibwerkstätten im In- und Ausland: u.a. Schreibklassen in Schule für Dichtung in Wien, Perchtoldsdorf, Sommerakademie in Griechenland, Zakynthos sowie Lesungen in italien, Schweden, Slowakei, Holland oder Dänemark. Es war ausserdem Juror beim Literaturwettbewerb Schreiben zwischen den Kulturen und ist Mitglied beim Literaturkreis Podium bzw. beim Österreicher P.E.N-Club
"Love never is logical and where it tries to, it has already been replaced by something else, would philosophy say. Maybe, that's why mankind tries to overcome rationality to get to love. Because this, at the same time, is the ongoing quest for finding ourselves. " ... first I hold onto your eyelashes / then I descended your slopes / escalated your volcanos / devoutly like a monk I crossed your desert ... ", a poet once wrote, as he had trodden only one of the countless ways that should lead to love and eroticism. A similar path we want to tread, by descending into the banalities of language, to afterwards put our longing into words.
